KALEKOY and SIMENA
This is one of the most romantic sites of the area. The attraction of Kale Koy is the mixture of ancient and medieval on one location, with the medieval houses of the hamlet tucked in between and on top of the ancient site. The modern houses are a mixture themselves since most of the material used to build them was taken from the ancient and medieval ruins.

Over the hillside are scattered numerous sarcophagi. Simena was not an important place in antiquity, apart from the miniature theater and the sarcophagi, little else remains: a couple of rock tombs, some private buildings or houses, part of a city wall, and the remains of the Roman baths.

The well preserved castle is Genoese and the view from above quite spectacular.
